  Our stay at Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the spirit of aloha and surrounded by stunning ocean views, making it the perfect destination for both relaxation and adventure.
  
  The resort itself is breathtaking, with easy access to beautiful beaches and luxurious amenities. Every detail, from the sparkling pools to the lush gardens, makes you feel like you’ve found paradise. The sunsets alone are worth the trip! But what truly made this vacation unforgettable was the amazing hiking nearby.
  
  If you're a nature enthusiast or hiker, Waikoloa is a dream base for exploring some of Hawaii’s best trails. We took a short drive to the stunning Pololū Valley Lookout and hiked down to a secluded black sand beach—the views were jaw-dropping! Another day, we headed out to the Mauna Lani trails, which offer lava-rock paths with ocean vistas and ancient petroglyphs along the way. We even took a sunrise hike up Mauna Kea for some of the most incredible views of the Big Island.
  
  Returning to the resort each day was a treat, where we’d unwind with delicious meals at one of their restaurants and soak in the oceanfront views. There’s something for everyone here, whether you want to explore or relax by the pool.
  
  I’d highly recommend Waikoloa Beach Resort to anyone looking for a Hawaiian vacation that balances adventure with luxurious relaxation.   Our 16-day stay at Colony Villas 1804 was absolutely wonderful. This is a beautifully decorated, comfortable, and extremely well-equipped unit. It is a home, and we felt so welcome the moment we walked in. It has everything! Appealing and thoughtful decor, comfy bedding, plush linens, great kitchen equipment (good knives! And everything else you could want!), strong wifi, private outdoor space with nicely furnished lanais, quality beach equipment, new large appliances, and plenty of essentials (soaps, paper goods, etc.) provided for our full stay. The entire unit was sparkling clean. The manager, Mike, is extremely responsive and helpful. The area is lovely and very quiet; the two pools in the complex (one nearby, but not too close) are so enjoyable. We have already booked for next year and we can't wait to get back to this fantastic villa. Mahalo to the owners for putting so much into their place for visitors to love. We give this property an unqualified positive recommendation.

  This property is an easy drive from the airport. Gate entrance is straight forward and quick. The grounds are lovely and exceptionally maintained and the manager was friendly and easily accessible when we had questions. Our condo was inviting, nicely decorated and stocked with everything you need for a stay. Plenty of extra towels and bedding as well as a wide assortment of kitchen items. The owner left a notebook binder with information for guests which is very helpful. There are also magazines, activity brochures and a guide book to help guests find suggestions for everything they could want to do on the island. This condo was the cleanest property we’ve ever stayed in and truly felt like home. It’s cute, roomy, decorated nicely and feels very “beachy!” The three bathrooms make this property great for families, too! We loved sitting on the lanai upstairs for coffee every morning. So peaceful and quiet with just the sounds of nature mostly. Plan to do some driving to get to shopping and site seeing, but some of the beaches and the grocery store are not far, and there are a number of great restaurants nearby. Day trips are a must if you want to experience some of the best things. Our week-long stay was not nearly enough so we’re planning our trip next year already with a longer stay! You can’t go wrong here! It was the best vacation!
