  We really enjoy staying at the Fairways as it is a quiet place that is close to the Beach and shopping and restaurants. This is our third time there but in three different units. Loved the master bedroom and bathroom. The main floor bedroom was very nice. We did find the sofa bed very uncomfortable for sleeping.

  The pros were: convenient location, tasteful landscaping, large pool with great hot tub; quality linens, towels, beach towels; gas grill; very comfortable beds; beach chairs/umbrellas; bikes; tasteful decor; patio with settee and cushions for lounging; good appliances except for ice maker but there were ice cube trays in freezer. Cons were made known to the manager. These included the front room tv that had a cable box that wouldn't stay on and just stopped working. The bedroom tv's worked but we watched Netflix instead; the dining chairs were very heavy and not comfortable for sitting in too long; the outside teak table was too high for regular height chairs and there were no cushions to sit on the wood chairs making that too hard to sit on; there only 2 plastic plates for outside eating.

  We stay on the big island each year and have to say that FW 501 was the perfect family vacation home. The home is well appointed, new furnishings, comfortable beds, and in an ideal spot in fairways. It backs to green space, lush landscaping and a golf course, so you have privacy. The lanai, outdoor dining/couch and grill are wonderful. It’s a short walk to the pool on a paved path for the kiddos. The boogie boards, beach chairs, buckets.... in the garage came In quite handy. Even the linens and towels were of high quality, not to mention oh so comfy pillows. Mike was a great host and was responsive to any inquiries we had. The decor inside is of high quality, plenty of seating for family time, and a great set up with the master suite with its own balcony upstairs. Highly recommend.

  I very much enjoyed this home. It is nicely furnished and very clean. I entertained friends for dinner a couple nights and there was plenty of cooking and serving equipment. I only used one bedroom, so I don’t know about the second one, but the master has a comfortable bed and a great bathroom.
  
  One should be aware that this unit is connected to several others. So there isn’t quite as much privacy as I thought there would be. It’s not noisy, but the next door neighbors are not far away. That’s not a complaint, but one should be aware. My only real complaint is trivial — the directions in finding the unit are a bit off and not completely clear. I drove around the circle a couple times before I figured it out.

We had a small issue with the AC but Shig, was all over it and had it sorted very quickly. The pool and gym were lovely and we used those facilities every day. Nice and close to Foodland. All in all the place is a 10!
